WellSpan Health is seeking a dedicated Medical Technologist/POC/MLT to join our Laboratory Services team within our leading regional healthcare system serving South-Central Pennsylvania and Northern Maryland. In this role, you will perform a broad range of clinical laboratory and point-of-care testing to support high-quality, patient-centered care across our hospitals, outpatient centers, and primary care practices. Working closely with physicians, nurses, and fellow laboratory professionals in a collaborative and inclusive environment, you will be responsible for accurate and timely testing in areas such as hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, immunology, and other disciplines appropriate to your credentials and training. Your duties will include specimen collection and processing, operation and maintenance of analyzers and point-of-care devices, performance and documentation of quality control and calibration procedures, and troubleshooting of testing and instrumentation issues. You will validate and report results through the Laboratory Information System, communicate critical values promptly to clinical teams, and ensure that all work meets established standards for accuracy, turnaround time, and regulatory compliance. As a member of WellSpan Health’s Laboratory Services department, you will help maintain a safe and efficient lab environment by following infection prevention protocols, adhering to CLIA and CAP requirements, participating in proficiency testing, and contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives. You will assist with inventory management, reagent preparation, and documentation, and may help train new staff or students as needed.
