Project Manager – Software Development (Bristol, CT | Hybrid) Optomi, in partnership with a leading global media and technology organization, is seeking a Project Manager to support multiple software development initiatives within a fast-paced, Agile engineering environment. This role sits at the core of application development, user-facing product delivery, and team leadership—driving alignment across engineering squads to deliver high-quality applications to internal and external end users. What you’ll do: Run core Agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and demos. Develop and manage project plans, communication plans, dependencies, risks, and issues. Track project performance using data-driven metrics (Jira burndown charts, epic reports, version reports). Identify slippages and create actionable mitigation plans. Partner closely with engineering teams to ensure alignment, clarity, and on-time delivery. Coach teams on Agile best practices, efficiency, and self-organization. Basic Qualifications 3–5 years of project management experience focused on software development projects. Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and experience supporting or delivering user-facing applications. Proficiency with Jira and Confluence within Agile/Scrum environments. Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate across multiple engineering teams. Experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications CSM/CSP certification or formal training in Scrum/Agile methodologies. Experience leading teams through UAT cycles. Desire to take on additional responsibilities and grow within a high-performing technology organization.
