Job Summary:

The World Equestrian Center – Ocala is seeking energetic and detail-oriented Bar Backs to support the opening team of Polo Pony , our elevated American cuisine concept located within the prestigious Equestrian Manor. This role is ideal for hospitality professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about supporting seamless bar operations in a refined setting.

As a Bar Back at Polo Pony, you will play a vital behind-the-scenes role in ensuring our bartenders are equipped to deliver exceptional service. Your attentiveness, efficiency, and commitment to excellence will contribute to the elevated guest experience that reflects the World Equestrian Center’s core values of Quality, Class, and Distinction .

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support bartenders by restocking supplies, preparing garnishes, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with product rotation, ensuring freshness and availability.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of glassware, tools, and bar surfaces throughout service.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of bar stations for daily service and special events.
• Ensure all bar areas are stocked with ice, mixers, and essential tools after and during service.
• Respond promptly to bartender requests and anticipate operational needs.
• Uphold all safety, sanitation, and alcohol compliance standards.
• Assist with trash removal, recycling, and general bar maintenance.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance while working in guest-facing areas.
• Support private dining and event setups as needed.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Manual dexterity and strength to operate bar equipment and handle supplies.
• Clear and effective communication in both verbal and written formats.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities

• Prior experience in upscale bar or restaurant settings preferred.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Familiarity with bar tools, glassware, and beverage products.
• ServSafe and Alcohol Compliance Certifications preferred.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and supporting team success.
