This position would require working weekends
Armed Security officer to control access and enforce policies and procedures for all visitors and staff.
Responsibilities included patrolling and securing the facility building and grounds. The guard monitors the premises' video cameras and questions unauthorized individuals.
The guard responds to all requests for assistance from employees and visitors and assists with any situation to achieve positive outcomes. This may involve escorting personnel to and from parking areas as requested. Maintaining accurate records and preparing incident reports and other security-related documents are also essential duties.
Staff must prioritize calls for services by urgency, based on safety needs. Tri-State Security officers are expected to work in highly stressful situations and must de-escalate any issues as quickly as possible. All officers are required to remain aware of local laws that govern behavior on private property.
The necessary skills for this position include effective communication with all client staff and guests, the ability to write professional reports, and a demonstrated physical capability to perform the basic functions of a security officer. Must pass a drug test, a criminal background check, and a firearms qualification with Glock 17.
Specific duties include:
Four years of continuous work experience that demonstrates reliability, dependability, and good judgment with a minimum of 2 years of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
Performing security patrols of designated areas on foot.
Watching for irregular or unusual conditions that may pose security or safety concerns
Activating alarms or contacting the police or fire department in emergencies, such as fire or the presence of unauthorized individuals
Warning violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying prohibited items
Permitting authorized individuals to enter the property and monitoring entrances and exits
Observing departing personnel to prevent theft of company property and ensuring authorized removals comply with clients' requirements.
Investigating and preparing reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities
Providing courteous and professional assistance to employees and visitors
