Job Title: Nurse Consultant Profession: Nursing Specialty: Ostomy, Wound Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years full-time professional nursing experience with medical-surgical patients License: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania Certifications: Board certification in wound, ostomy, and continence nursing; Must meet the American Heart Association’s standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renew BLS every two years Must-Have: - Proven ability to function as a team member and a liaison between patients and staff. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. - High level of mental and emotional tolerance when dealing with ill individuals. - Ability to use tact, sensitivity, and sound judgment in professional interactions. Description: Functions as a consultant for all staff and patients in the areas of skin prevention, wounds, ostomies, and continence needs. Demonstrates effective teamwork and collaboration. Supports and fosters harmonious communication. Communicates professionally and clearly at all times. Maintains a calm and professional demeanor when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
