About the Role

We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Moderate to Entry-Level Technical Inside Sales Representative to support and grow sales of our FireGuard® line of passive fire‐protection products , including intumescent coatings, fire‐retardant wood treatments, and fabric fire‐resistant solutions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical products, problem‐solving, and helping customers find the right fire‐safety solutions.

You will partner with contractors, retail distributors, architects, facility managers, and end‐users to educate them on FireGuard® products, qualify opportunities, and support the full sales cycle from inquiry to order fulfillment.

You will represent and support sales for the full FireGuard® portfolio, including:

  • FireGuard E‐84 Intumescent Coating
    Class A fire rating, up to 2‐hour endurance, ASTM/NFPA/UL tested.
    Used on structural materials in residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings.
  • FireGuard XL‐95 Fire Retardant for Wood
    Class A flame‐spread rating for raw wood applications.
    Spray‐applied, no added mass, ideal for construction and architectural projects.
  • FireGuard for Fabric
    Water‐based fire‐resistant treatment for upholstery, crafts, and textiles.
    Meets NFPA 701 and Cal Fire 1237.1 standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to inbound inquiries and proactively reach out to prospective customers.
  • Provide technical product information, application guidance, and code‐compliance details.
  • Qualify leads, prepare quotes, and support customers through the purchasing process.
  • Maintain CRM records, track opportunities, and follow up on open quotes.
  • Collaborate with operations and technical teams to ensure accurate product recommendations.
  • Support distributors, contractors, and project managers with documentation and product data sheets.
  • Continuously develop product knowledge and stay current on fire-safety standards and industry trends.

  • No prior sales experience required —we will train the right candidate.

Preferred (But Not Required)

  • Background or coursework in construction, engineering, fire safety, coatings, or related fields.
  • Experience in customer service, inside sales, or technical support.
  • Familiarity with ASTM, NFPA, or UL fire‐testing standards.
  • Comfort with reading architectural plans or specifications

Compensation and Benefits 

  • Salary Range: $40,000 – $52,000 (based on experience) - Additional Compensation: Opportunity to earn a year-end bonus based on individual performance and company results

Work Environment

  • In-office Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (inside sales role)
  • May involve extended periods of computer and phone use
