DescriptionGPI has an immediate opening for a Structural Buildings Engineer at our Metro DC operation, which consists of offices in Olney, MD, Rockville, MD, and Springfield, VA. For more information, visit: Responsibilities:Assist on a wide range of structural engineering analysis and design projects involving steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structuresConduct site investigations to document existing conditions, and plan projects accordinglyDevelop drawings and perform structural modeling tasksServe as a project manager on smaller projectsPerform Construction Phase tasks including shop drawing review, answering contractor questions, and performing construction phase site visits (including preparation of site visit reports)Qualifications:3+ years of Structural design. Experience should include new buildings, renovations, and additionsExperience with the design of structural repairs is a plusExperience in AutoCAD and/or REVITRequirementsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final considerationRead, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English languageBasic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team membersGPI offers excellent benefits, including a 401(k) plan, ESOP, medical/dental/vision plans, paid time off, and more.
