Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for a wide range of activities related to month-end close (expense analysis, accruals, prepaid, fixed assets, internal-use software capitalization, bank reconciliation etc.)
• Make journal entries requiring judgment and analysis including allocations
• Review business unit trial balances and other reporting for accuracy and completeness
• Further cycle time reduction via streamlining workflow, automation & elimination of nonessential activities
• Write, maintain & promulgate policies and procedures
• Preparation of monthly reporting package to the senior management and as part of this responsibility needs to ensure that the consolidated financial statements are accurate, complete and in compliance with GAAP
• Active participation in the annual audit, prepare audit schedules and analysis
• Special projects as determined by Management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred
• 2-4 years' experience in accounting preferred
• Attention to detail
• Deadline driven and results-oriented
• Strong communication skills
• Good team player
