Job Description Assist Server in providing an exceptional experience to our guests and assist in all aspects of breakfast and lunch service. Maintain cleanliness of tables, service areas and equipment. Restocking the service areas with condiments, plates, glasses, and other items needed to ensure smooth running of the dining room. Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service Assist servers with food delivery, clearing tables, and setting up tables Assisting guests with queries Attend to buffet items Replenish items and guest amenities Restock and maintain inventory levels of all products Ensure overall cleanliness of the restaurant at all times Follow restaurant policies, procedures and service standards Have full knowledge of beverage lists, promotions, menu items, contents, and preparation methods Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages May have to assist In-Room Dining team Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards. Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended. Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day. Maintain positive guest relations at all times. Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately. Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate Previous experience in food service industry an asset Previous experience as busser/server’s assistant in luxury setting an asset Excellent communication and organizational skills in English Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities Highly responsible & reliable Food handler & TABC certifications required Certification in CPR an asset Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment, and without supervision Ability to multi-task and work cohesively as part of a team Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times Additional Information What’s in it for you: Paid time off Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance 401K Retirement Plan Complimentary Shift Meal Employee benefit card offering discounted rates in Accor worldwide.
