Position Overview The Rental Car Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the dealership’s rental department. This role includes managing fleet availability, ensuring vehicle readiness, coordinating reservations, monitoring profitability, maintaining strong customer service standards, and leading team members to success. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily rental department operations Manage rental reservations, contracts, and vehicle availability Monitor fleet utilization, maintenance schedules, and vehicle condition Ensure vehicles are clean, fueled, inspected, and ready for customers Hire, train, schedule, and supervise rental staff Deliver excellent customer service and quickly resolve customer concerns Track performance metrics, revenue, expenses, and department profitability Coordinate closely with service, sales, and management teams Maintain compliance with company policies, insurance requirements, and rental procedures Help develop strategies to grow the rental business and improve efficiency Qualifications Previous automotive, rental car, fleet, or dealership management experience preferred Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Highly organized with strong attention to detail Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Comfortable with computer systems, reporting, and operational tracking Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Professional, dependable, and solution-oriented mindset What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who: Takes ownership and leads by example Understands the importance of both customer satisfaction and profitability Can create structure, improve processes, and keep operations running smoothly Works well across departments and communicates effectively with both staff and customers Brings energy, accountability, and a strong work ethic every day Why Join Jeff D’Ambrosio Auto Group?
