Job Description

This role builds and optimizes 3D game simulations and environments using Panda3D to generate high-quality inputs for training next-generation AI systems. You will design simulation logic, write and maintain Python and C++ code, and collaborate with engineers to ensure robust, cross-platform performance. No prior AI experience is required, domain and game development expertise matter most. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize 3D game simulations and environments with Panda3D for AI training use cases.
• Translate multidisciplinary requirements into technical solutions and iterate with stakeholders.
• Implement, maintain, and debug Python and C++ codebases integrated with Panda3D.
• Use GitHub for version control, branching, and pull request workflows to support team collaboration.
• Ensure cross-platform compatibility and performance across a variety of hardware configurations.
• Document architecture, code, and processes clearly to support collaborative development and future handoffs.
• Participate actively in code reviews, design discussions, and team meetings, communicating clearly in writing and verbally.

• Proven, hands-on experience developing with Panda3D, experience with other engines does not substitute.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and C++ programming.
• Strong experience using GitHub for code management, branching, and pull requests.
• Deep understanding of 3D graphics pipelines, simulation logic, and cross-platform development considerations.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on clear documentation.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Attention to detail and a strong problem-solving mindset.

• Prior game development experience targeted at AI, simulation, or training applications.
• Experience optimizing 3D assets and scenes for performance across a range of hardware.
• Familiarity with working in collaborative, distributed Agile teams.

• Employment type: Contract.

• Pay rate: $50 to $120 per hour.
