Midway Airport Shuttle Driver We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Bus Driver to join our elite team in Bedford Park, IL. As a key member, you will be entrusted with ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for our passengers, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service. Pay $22.00 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Pay Scale) Benefits Vacation: up to 5 days per year and 1 personal day. Paid Sick Leave: 5 days per year for full‑time employees. Key Responsibilities Execute flawless operations by meticulously following designated routes and schedules, while adhering to stringent safety protocols and traffic regulations. Exhibit exceptional care and assistance towards passengers, ensuring smooth boarding, comfortable rides, and timely disembarkation for all. Champion vehicle safety through comprehensive pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, promptly reporting any maintenance issues, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety equipment readiness. Uphold company policies and procedures rigorously, encompassing seat belt enforcement, emergency response preparedness, and compliance with regulatory mandates. Other duties as required. Qualifications 21 years or older. Valid CDL Class B with passenger and airbrake endorsement. Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional). Excellent communication and customer service skills. Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed. Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason. Physical Requirements Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions. Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day). Push and pull objects up to 25 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level. Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
