  • Outbound Outreach: Conduct consistent multi-channel outreach via phone, email, LinkedIn, industry events, and referrals.
  • Consultative Selling: Use a consultative sales approach to identify business challenges and align Institute membership solutions to client needs.
  • Pipeline Management: Build and manage a robust pipeline of prospective member companies while accurately tracking activity and forecasting in our CRM.
  • Presentations: Deliver compelling virtual and in-person membership presentations and discovery meetings.
  • Territory Strategy: Develop long-term account and territory strategies to drive consistent growth.

Member Retention & Engagement (15%)

  • Upselling & Renewals: Support annual membership renewal efforts and identify opportunities for account upgrades.
  • Relationship Building: Maintain ongoing communication with assigned members to ensure high levels of satisfaction and platform engagement.
  • Value Optimization: Encourage member participation in Institute events, webinars, research, and networking programs.
  • Onboarding Transitions: Facilitate seamless introductions of new members to the Membership Services/Success team to guarantee a smooth onboarding experience.

Industry Participation & Cross-Functional Collaboration (10%)

  • Event Representation: Attend Institute and broader industry events to network, build relationships, and uncover new sales opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Synergy: Work closely with editorial, events, marketing, and success teams to champion member success.
  • Market Intelligence: Gather and share market feedback to continuously refine and improve our membership offerings.
  • Industry Acumen: Stay informed on major industry trends across retail media, commerce marketing, shopper marketing, and retail innovation.

Requirements

Experience: At least two years of experience in B2B sales, membership sales, media sales, or business development.

Sales Excellence: Proven consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Communication: Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills with the confidence to pitch C-suite executives.

Organization: High degree of organization with a track record of consistent follow-up and CRM pipeline management.

Collaboration: A team player who thrives in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Industry Knowledge: Prior experience or familiarity with the retail, CPG, shopper marketing, or retail media industries is a strong plus.

Travel: Willingness to travel to select company and industry events as needed.
