HiFyve is hiring a 2nd Shift Maintenance Mechanic for a manufacturing facility!

Shift Options:

2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM | $26.25–$32.00/hour

Location: Luxemburg, WI

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform electrical and mechanical repairs on industrial production machinery and equipment.

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment and facility systems.

Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and machine control issues and identify root causes.

Assist with machine setups, changeovers, adjustments, equipment installations, and modifications.

Support continuous improvement efforts to improve equipment safety, reliability, efficiency, and productivity.

Perform equipment installation, setup, maintenance, and repair activities.

Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

Perform metalworking, fabrication, welding, and basic machining tasks as needed.

Inspect equipment and components for wear, damage, or potential failures and repair or replace parts as necessary.

Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.

Lubricate, align, adjust, and maintain machinery according to manufacturer specifications.

Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and maintenance needs to minimize production downtime.

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following applicable safety procedures and company standards.

Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, hot work, and other applicable safety requirements.

Document maintenance activities, complete work orders, and communicate equipment concerns accurately and timely.

Work collaboratively with Production, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and other teams to support business and production objectives.

Education & Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required.

3+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred; 5+ years strongly preferred.

Experience in a manufacturing environment required.

Plastics industry experience is a plus.

Technical training, apprenticeship, or vocational education in industrial maintenance is a plus.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and machine control systems.

Experience with metalworking, fabrication, welding, and basic machining.

Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.

Basic computer skills; experience with CMMS is a plus.

Ability to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Strong communication skills and ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to diagnose equipment problems and identify root causes.

Ability to perform electrical and mechanical repairs.

Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing equipment and maintenance procedures.

Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and machine control systems.

Ability to safely operate maintenance tools, power tools, testing equipment, and shop equipment.

Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

Ability to prioritize tasks and complete work efficiently.

Ability to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Ability to communicate effectively with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift.

Frequent lifting, bending, reaching, crouching, twisting, pushing, pulling, and carrying materials.

Ability to safely operate maintenance tools, power tools, testing equipment, and shop equipment.

Ability to work around moving production machinery, elevated noise levels, hot surfaces, sharp objects, and other manufacturing hazards.

Ability to perform repairs and maintenance tasks in various positions.

Ability to safely handle equipment components and materials.

Ability to occasionally climb stairs or ladders and kneel as required.

Ability to work overtime, weekends, and emergency call-ins as needed based on production requirements.
