Job Description

The Human Resources Office is now accepting applications for 2 Maintenance/Grounds Technician II to be assigned to CMRC in Newton. SALARY: $22,039.90 annually

WORKING HOURS: TBD

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS/POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Typically requires Graduation from a standard four-year high school or equivalent (GED or High School Equivalency Diploma) AND Two years of experience in at least one of the following fields: plumbing, carpentry, painting, electronics, electrical work, plastering, air-conditioning/refrigeration, heating equipment, or general maintenance and repair.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING:

Two years’ experience as a Facilities Maintenance Worker
Performs skilled tasked in one or more of the following maintenance repair fields: plumbing, carpentry, painting, electronics, electrical work, plastering, air-conditioning/refrigeration, heating equipment, or general maintenance and repair.
Receives work orders, itemizes work to be done and completes assigned tasks.
Prepares cost estimates as needed and recommends the purchase of supplies.
Make repairs to buildings and other equipment.
Performs ground maintenance such as mowing, edging, and trimming lawns, bushes, and planting trees.
Collect and remove trash from the grounds.
