Job Title: Planning and Procurement Specialist
Location: Irvine, CA
Shift: 10-7 pm

This role is centered around logistics coordination, warehouse operations, inventory management, and the end-to-end movement of both raw materials and finished goods. You will play a key role in ensuring seamless inbound and outbound processes, maintaining accurate inventory visibility, and partnering closely with 3PLs and logistics providers to drive operational efficiency.
As part of a growing team, this position may also take on additional supply chain responsibilities as needed. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Roles & Responsibilities
Logistics & Transportation
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including both domestic and international transportation
Partner with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to ensure smooth operations
Monitor shipment timelines (ETD/ETA) and proactively address delays or issues
Schedule delivery appointments and support timely warehouse receiving
Warehouse & Inventory Management
Oversee 3PL warehouse operations and maintain inventory accuracy
Track inventory levels, including in-transit and on-hand stock
Investigate and resolve discrepancies such as shortages, damages, or missing items
Maintain accurate inventory records and reporting
Fulfillment & Distribution
Support order fulfillment for both retail and B2B customers
Ensure timely delivery of raw materials to production facilities
Review shipping documentation (BOLs, packing lists, ASNs) for accuracy
Cost Control & Reporting
Review and validate logistics-related invoices (freight, warehousing, accessorial charges)
Monitor key performance metrics such as on-time delivery and cost efficiency
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce costs
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Procurement, Planning, Sales, and Finance teams
Support ongoing operational needs and ad hoc supply chain initiatives
Communicate effectively with both internal stakeholders and external partners
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience with transportation management and 3PL coordination
Strong Excel skills for data tracking and analysis
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Preferred
2-5 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or inventory operations
Experience working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, or 3PL warehouses
Background in CPG, food & beverage, or high-volume distribution environments
Familiarity with EDI transactions (e.g., 940/945, ASN)
