Life & Health Insurance Rates and Forms Examiners Anticipated Salary Range: $60,000-$75,000 Salary Commensurate with Qualifications and Experience The State Corporation Commission (SCC) seeks two Life & Health (L&H) Insurance Rates and Forms Examiners who have a passion for public service and an interest in regulating Virginia's insurance industry. Joining the SCC's Bureau of Insurance (BOI), the Health Insurance Rates Examiner reviews individual and small group health (ACA), accident and sickness, Medicare Supplement, and long-term care rate submissions and the Life Insurance and Annuity Forms Examiner reviews life insurance and annuity policy form submissions. Prior to insurance products being marketed to the public, the L&H Rates and Forms Examiners determine the filings' compliance with applicable insurance laws, regulations, and administrative rules through a detailed and thorough review.
