Description
Indiana Farmers Insurance is currently looking for a Junior Platform Engineer to join our Information Technology team. The ideal candidate will be located in Indiana.
The Junior Platform Engineer is an entry-level role that provides hands-on experience with supporting applications, systems, and infrastructure. This position focuses on monitoring, troubleshooting, and assisting with deployments, automation, and user support across IT environments. This is a great opportunity as the Junior Platform Engineer will be offered mentorship and training to build foundational skills in DevOps, system administration, and IT operations.

Requirements
Responsibilities for the Junior Platform Engineer: - Associate's degree in computer technology, information systems or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Coursework, internship or hands-on experience with system administration, cloud platforms and/or IT Support
- Foundation knowledge of Windows and Linux
- Experience with scripting or automation background tools such as PowerShell, Bash or Python
- Analytical mindset and basic problem-solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn technical concepts and operational practices
