Job Description

Hi there! My name is Jean and I am a home owner in Manchester, Vermont. We use the property for our family on weekends and also rent out through airbnb and vrbo. I am looking to hire a housekeeper and cleaner for two units on our property - a 2,000 square foot house and a 900 square foot barn apartment. We could hire one for each property or one for both. The house cleaner is very important to our AirBnB business. We see the house cleaner as our partner and some responsibilities are a it beyond pure house cleaning, as our ears and eyes on the ground at our property. The duties will involve:

1. Cleaning the general rooms and bathrooms including washing floors, wiping down baseboards, keeping indoor windows clean, as well as putting clean dishes away and organized, kitchen cleaned and organized, fridge cleaned and organized, porch and outdoor grill cleaned and and oven cleaning.
2. Changing bed linens and making beds up with attention to detail

1. Communicating the state of the home or apartment after each guest to owner
2. Dropping and picking up bed linens from Manchester Laundromat (before/after each cleaning)
3. Stocking house/barn with coffee, milk and creamer

1. Washing towels in home washer
2. Communicating cleaning and kitchen supply needs to owner
3. communicating wear and tear issues (ie should throw out sheets and buy new ones)
4. Once in a while we may ask you to help when a customer leaves something at the house (happens 1 or 2 times a year)
5. We may also outline additional deep cleaning activities to tack on to a visit when fits your schedule to help with property maintenance

The rate of pay for this position is $35 HOURLY. We rent both the house and apartment to separate renters - typically we have both rented or we are using the units for personal use (and require cleaning) most weeks throughout the year (slow in November, April-May). We are interested in one person to clean both units or two people, one for each.
