Private Family in Sands Point, NY is Seeking a Live In Tuesday - Saturday Housekeeper|Nanny to help support their active family. - Position: Live-In, Housekeeper|Nanny, MUST have own home local for days off. There are plans to rebuild their home on the same lot, potentially end 2026. When this happens, they will move to a rental and the candidate will continue to have her own bedroom.
- Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 7:30 am-7:30 pm, Saturday is the busiest night of the week, flexibility as needed for date night.
- Salary: $35-$38 per hour / depending on experience, PAYROLL Only, Overtime, willing to consider Health Insurance stipend if needed, Paid Time off
- Start Date: ASAP
- Relocation: No - local NY candidates only, living within a reasonable commute to the residence.
About the Family - Principals: 2 Busy Professionals, Dad works long hours. Mom works out of the home and Dad works 1 day out of the home. They are big boaters and when they travel they are not necessarily expecting the candidate to travel with them expect for 1 week in Martha's Vineyard. July/August boat is in Hamptons, 2-3 weekends expected to come to the Hamptons, will swap if working. Not expected to Travel over Thanksgiving and/or during Christmas. helpful if they are available though.
- Children: (B) 3, in school from 8am - 4:30 pm; (B) 6, in school from 8am 2:45 pm. Activities include: Kindergarten Tutoring, flag Football, ice hockey, and Taekwondo.
Potentially another child in the future. - Home Size: Approx 6,000 sq ft residence, pool
- Pets: One Bernedoodle
- Household Staff: Deep cleaners come as needed, every 8 weeks
Responsibilities Children are in school full-time - role is roughly 60% housekeeping, 40% childcare.
Because the children are in school during the day, we appreciate someone who takes pride in keeping the home clean, organized, and running smoothly.
Morning help: getting kids ready, breakfast, and driving to school. Afternoon school pickup, driving to activities, homework help, dinner/bath/bedtime support. Occasional evening monitoring after bedtime and Saturday help with kids as schedules vary.
Tag teaming meals for kids breakfast help and if the kids are home for lunch. Mom usually makes family dinners, but help would be great if needed. Kosher style with meat/dairy.
Coordinate playdates, open to potentially carpooling & interacting with other caregivers of children's friends as needed.
Housekeeping: Daily cleaning/tidying (kitchen after meals, bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas), laundry, organizing, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, pantry organization, and occasional household projects.
Pet Care: Feeding dog, and letting him out back no need to walk the dog.

Must keep the home tidy.

Requirements - Prior experience in a similar role in a private household
- Excellent references
- Legally offered to work in the United States and be paid through PAYROLL Only
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
- Must have valid drivers license (car provided) and drivers license (car provided)
- Comfortable with pets
- Willing to travel occasionally, if needed
