This role provides specialized counseling to patients at risk for hereditary cancer, offering guidance, education, and support throughout the genetic evaluation process. The position also serves as a valuable consultant and resource for both patients and physicians, ensuring they have the information needed to make informed decisions about care.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's Degree from a genetic counseling training program approved by the American Board of Genetic Counseling
• Upon hire: Washington Genetic Counselor License
• Well rounded experience dealing with genetic disorders including: cancer risk assessment; ordering and interpreting genetic test results; and providing psychosocial assessment and support

Preferred Qualification:

• 1 year of experience working with patients at risk for hereditary cancer

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
