This Fulfillment Buyer will support Hawthorne’s purchases across multiple commodities, stakeholders (capital projects, facility management, production, etc.) and supply chain team clusters.We are looking for the right person who is equipped and ready for these challenges to join our team.RESPONSIBILITIES:Review purchase request and issue purchase orders in a timely manner without errorEnsure purchase orders are acknowledged by suppliersReview quotes to ensure those are complete and align with SpaceX termsObtain the original promise date from suppliersReview open order reports and manage deliveriesResolve invoice issues and ensure that vendors are paid on timeExpedite parts as necessaryAct as customer service for SpaceX internal customersSupport buyers in cost savings initiativesLead miscellaneous procurement projectsLead supplier onboarding processBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree; or 4+ years of professional experience working in a supply chain, production, or engineering function in lieu of a degreePREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Purchasing experience, specifically related to capital equipment or indirect buyingRemarkable problem-solving skills with a bias for speedAbility to learn quickly and prioritize appropriately to meet customer and company needsExcellent customer service skillsEffective written, verbal and presentation communication skillsExceptional analytical and organizational skillsStrong technical knowledge of MS Office SuiteAbility to conduct all activities with the highest degree of integrityDetail-oriented, self-motivated and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environmentADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to work long hours and weekends as neededThis position is based in Hawthorne, CA and requires being onsite - remote work not consideredCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:Pay Range:Level 1: $27.00Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
