About the Job:
Looking for friendly, reliable, flexible, customer-service-minded servers, hosts, bartenders, and runners/bussers. Expanded Evanston restaurant with patio and private dining to open at the end of August. Full-time and part-time possible, evening and weekend availability is required. 

• Maintain a positive, hospitable, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and co-workers at all times.
• Gain knowledge of all our products and services with the ability to answer questions accurately.
• Acknowledge and resolve any customer issues and complaints.
• Keep up with the side work, keep things clean and orderly.
• Communicate and coordinate with customers, kitchen, and colleagues effectively.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and provide professional customer support.
• Provide customer and other feedback to the Soul & Smoke team.
• Specific tasks are role-dependent.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to stay calm and respectful under stress, and if customers are upset.
• Able to walk/stand for most of the shift, and to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable using handheld POS system.
• Experience working with customer support.
• Quick problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to multitask and keep organized.
• Ability to work in a team with different personalities.
• Prior food experience and knowledge required.
• Evening and weekend availability required.
• Valid food handler and BASSET alcohol service certificates required within 30 days of starting employment.

Job Details:

• JOB TYPE: Part-time or full-time, hourly positions.
• PAY: Starting at $21+ per hour, which includes pooled revenue share of $4-6+ per hour.
• BENEFITS: Staff meals, plus dining and catering discounts. Accrued paid leave and sick leave.
