We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join our organization as the Director of Global Procurement & Equipment Logistics. This role will oversee the global sourcing, procurement, and logistics strategy for a large equipment-based business operating across multiple markets. 

 
The Director will be responsible for optimizing the lifecycle of company assets - from international manufacturing and procurement to inventory planning and inter-warehouse logistics. This position plays a critical role in ensuring equipment availability, maximizing utilization, and supporting the company’s continued growth in new markets. 

 
This role works closely with executive leadership, sales teams, operations, and warehouse leadership to ensure the right inventory is available in the right market at the peak of demand. 

 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Global Procurement & Supply Chain Management 
  • Identify and develop relationships with domestic and international manufacturers and suppliers. 
  • Negotiate pricing, container quantities, production schedules, and supplier agreements. 
  • Manage international shipping logistics including freight forwarding, customs brokerage, tariffs, and import compliance. 
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure quality, reliability, and cost effectiveness. 
  • Identify innovative product opportunities that strengthen the company’s competitive position. 
  • Inventory Planning & Equipment Availability 
  • Establish and maintain data-driven inventory planning models and par levels across multiple warehouse locations. 
  • Analyze utilization trends and forecast future equipment demand based on seasonal patterns and sales projections. 
  • Partner with leadership to recommend capital investments and purchasing strategies. 
  • Balance new equipment purchases with internal equipment repositioning to optimize inventory availability. 
  • Logistics Network Optimization 
  • Manage the internal equipment network between multiple warehouse hubs to maximize utilization and reduce unnecessary capital expenditures. 
  • Collaborate with warehouse and transportation teams to plan efficient equipment transfers and redistribution schedules. 
  • Identify opportunities to streamline logistics processes and improve operational efficiency. 
  • Strategic Business Support 
  • Partner with executive leadership to support market expansion initiatives and operational growth. 
  • Ensure procurement and logistics operations enables the sales team to respond quickly and confidently to customer needs. 
  • Develop scalable processes that support multi-market growth.

Qualifications: 
  • 7+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, logistics, or inventory planning. 
  • Experience managing international sourcing and global supply chains. 
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive inventory and purchasing decisions. 
  • Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional initiatives. 
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. 
  • Experience in equipment-based industries such as events, rentals, manufacturing, logistics, or hospitality operations is highly preferred.
