Build a safer future with one of Connecticuts leading construction companies.O&G Industries, Inc., an innovative and diversified construction company based out of Torrington, CT, is seeking an experienced Construction Safety Manager to support our building and heavy civil operations throughout the state.This leadership role is responsible for advancing and maintaining a strong safety culture across a diverse portfolio of projects, including transportation infrastructure, commercial construction, educational facilities, public works, and other complex building and heavy civil projects. The successful candidate will partner with project teams, field leadership, and executive management to proactively identify risks, implement effective safety solutions, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance.At O&G, safety is more than a requirementit's a core value. Our Safety Managers serve as trusted advisors and leaders who help ensure every employee returns home safely each day while supporting successful project delivery.Responsibilities:Promote and strengthen O&G's safety culture across multiple construction projects throughout ConnecticutConduct jobsite safety audits, inspections, and risk assessmentsPartner with project teams to identify hazards and implement proactive corrective actionsLead incident investigations and root-cause analyses to drive continuous improvementDeliver safety training, coaching, and mentoring for field personnel and project leadershipMonitor compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standardsReview and inspect equipment, tools, and work practices to ensure safe operationsSupport claims management, incident reporting, and safety documentation processesAnalyze safety performance metrics and recommend improvement initiativesCollaborate with operations teams to integrate safety into project planning and executionQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent construction safety experience will be consideredMinimum of five years of occupational safety experienceConstruction safety experience required, preferably within building, infrastructure, or heavy civil constructionStrong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practicesExcellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skillsHighly organized, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple prioritiesSelf-motivated problem solver with a collaborative, team-oriented approachProficiency with safety management software, claims reporting systems, and mobile inspection platformsASP, CSP, CHST, or other relevant safety certifications preferredWork Environment and Travel:This position supports projects located throughout Connecticut.
