*POSITION SUMMARY*

McCarthy Building Companies is looking for skilled Laborers for an exciting project in Chattanooga, TN.  In this role, you will support our experienced carpenters by moving materials, maintain a clean jobsite, and measure/cut concrete forming systems for large concrete pours in commercial, civil, or marine environments. The ideal candidate has 1+ year of proven experience as a laborer in large construction sites. McCarthy proudly offers our craft professionals:

*RESPONSIBILITIES*

* Actively participate in Task Hazard Analysis (THA) meetings
* Utilize common construction materials, hand tools, and power tools (hammer, shovel, water pump, measuring tape, hammer drill, saw, demolition hammer, etc.)
* Successfully complete required training to use personal arrest system
* Assist carpenters with installation of form systems
* Properly measure, mark, and cut various materials

*QUALIFICATIONS*

* Prior experience with self-perform concrete work in commercial, civil, or marine environments
* Understand construction terminology
* Identify common construction materials, hand tools, and power tools
* Proven commitment to Safety
* Work in an organized manner
* Able to work night shifts when needed
* Must have reliable transportation to/from the job site
* Ability to work independently and follow instructions
* Must be self-motivated and can work well with others
* Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
* Ability to perform heavy lifting/pushing/pulling of material weighing 50 pounds
* Ability to squat, crawl, and work in confined spaces
* Minimum age 18+
* Proof of Identity and Employment Authorization
