Clinical Data Manager Job Summary Clinical Data Managers develop data management plans that deliver accurate, timely, and consistent clinical data. Build, review, and maintain clinical databases, data collection tools, and applications. Create, review, and maintain study documentation, such as Case Report Forms (CRFs), Data Management Plans (DMP), and Data Transfer Agreements (DTAs). Contribute to protocol development and review. Compile, analyze, clean, and validate clinical trial data. Identify and resolve discrepancies and issues with clinical data. Develop data management reports and monitor study status to ensure timelines are met. Represent the data management function to key internal and external stakeholders. Work collaboratively with clinical research and operations teams to ensure accurate and complete data collection. Key Responsibilities Work with cross‑functional teams to implement a strategy to collect primary outcome and other critical data per study protocol. Issue and resolve queries with high degree of accuracy. Write, review, and test data validation checks using SQL or similar coding language. Create and maintain study documentation including Data Management Plans, user acceptance testing, and training manuals. Prioritize data management activities based on a risk assessment plan. Job Levels and Qualifications Clinical Data Manager I – Entry‑Level. Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) degree plus 2 years of directly related work experience or a master’s degree. Clinical Data Manager III – Career‑Level. Requires a bachelor’s degree plus 6 years of experience, or a master’s degree plus 4 years. Job code: P57163. Grade: P18. Expected Pay Range: $61,599 to $84,197 . Minimum Qualifications EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: One year of higher education can be substituted for one year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience). Minimum education: bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with required years of directly related experience as per job level. Master’s degree may substitute required experience. Preferences Demonstrated experience with electronic data capture systems such as REDCap, Veeva, or similar. Experience with SQL coding or similar. Job Details Full‑time, 40 hours per week. Monday through Friday. Flexible remote schedule for Utah residents; required to attend essential meetings on campus as needed. Occasional travel may be required. Location: Campus.
