Job Description

Salary: $250.00 (weekly)

This position is responsible for: Performing a variety of housekeeping duties for a camp; cleans restrooms, offices, and other camp facilities; washes, stores, and distributes linens; ensures the neatness and cleanliness of the camp facilities on a daily basis. Incumbent also functions as a music instructor to assist and support the musical component of the Music Conservatory Program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleans camp facilities and offices; collects, washes, folds, stores, and distributes linens; ensures the accountability of linens.

• Maintains camper laundry schedule on rotation as well as daily laundering of camper laundry.

• Washes camper's laundry and return to counselor.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Some physical requirements of the Conservatory Housekeeping/Laundress position could be endurance including climbing, standing, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to manipulate housekeeping/laundress equipment and activities are required. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate camper activities/programs and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Have a willingness to live in a camp setting and work irregular hours delivering a program in the facility available. Operate with daily exposure to the sun and heat and varying environmental conditions

Additional Information:

• Camp Staff Orientation will be held June 8 - 14, 2026 , and participation is required. The 2026 summer Camp program session will be held June 15 - July 19, 2026 . If you are unable to work the entire session, please let us know on your application.
