Bartender – PLAY Sporting Lounge

Job Summary

As a Bartender at PLAY Sporting Lounge, you will be at the center of a dynamic dining and entertainment destination. We are committed to providing exceptional service and a menu that balances creativity with quality; all within a fun, engaging environment for our guests. We are currently seeking an energetic, personable, and sales-driven Bartender to join our sports lounge team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, delivers exceptional hospitality, and actively contributes to revenue growth through upselling, guest engagement, and memorable service experiences. This role is perfect for someone who loves sports culture, nightlife energy, and building rapport with guests.

Key Responsibilities

Hospitality & Guest Experience

• Provide warm, friendly, and attentive service to all guests at the bar and lounge area
• Create a welcoming and lively atmosphere aligned with a sports lounge environment
• Build relationships with regular guests and encourage repeat visits
• Handle guest feedback professionally and resolve issues promptly

Bartending & Beverage Service

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and standards
• Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation of all drinks
• Monitor guest consumption and ensure responsible alcohol service
• Keep bar area clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout shifts

Sales & Revenue Focus

• Actively upsell premium spirits, cocktails, food pairings, and promotions
• Promote specials, game-day offers, and events to maximize sales
• Identify opportunities to increase check averages while enhancing guest experience
• Support team sales goals and contribute to overall lounge performance

Operations & Compliance

• Handle cash, POS transactions, and tabs accurately
• Follow all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
• Assist with opening and closing duties as required
• Work collaboratively with servers, barbacks, and management

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous bartending experience preferred (sports bar or high-volume environment a plus)
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Sales-minded with confidence in upselling and guest engagement
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and game days
• Knowledge of beer, cocktails, spirits, and bar equipment
• Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure
• Must meet legal age requirements for alcohol service
