Position Description:

Wellan Montessori School is accepting applications from Teaching Artists for after school piano lessons during the 2026-2027 school year. Wellan offers individual in-person lessons after school to students in Kindergarten through Grade 8. Recitals are held at the end of each semester. Hours vary between 3-6pm Monday-Friday depending on enrollment and teacher availability.

The successful applicant will have excellent skills on their instrument, experience teaching children in Kindergarten through Grade 8, and the ability to foster a love of music in their students.

The pay rate for his position is between $70-$80/hour.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related music field required, Master's degree preferred
• Experience with a variety of instructional methods and multi-age learning environments
• Commitment to meeting the needs of each student
• Resume, cover letter, and at least two references are required in order to be considered for this position. References should include parents of at least two current or recent students.
